Trimark Industrial Efficiency
LED 2.0: Maximizing Performance with Intelligent High Bays
Client: Trimark
Partner: EcoBright Energy
Solution: LED 2.0 UFO High Bays with Integrated Motion & Dimming Sensors
Project Overview
Trimark operated a massive industrial facility using a combination of T5 Fluorescent tubes and early-generation LED tubes. Because these lights remained at 100% brightness regardless of activity, the facility was over-consuming energy during low-traffic hours and breaks.
EcoBright Energy implemented an LED 2.0 High Bay system. By consolidating over 6,000 tubes into 525 intelligent UFO High Bays, we improved light quality while introducing an additional 20% energy saving through smart motion sensing.
Annual Financial Impact
| Metric | Impact |
| Old System Cost (Baseline) | $83,852.50 |
| New LED 2.0 System Cost | $31,056.48 |
| Total Annual Electricity Savings | $52,796.02 |
Environmental Impact & ESG results
By integrating sensors into the High Bays, Trimark didn’t just lower their bill; they significantly improved their carbon profile. Based on a total energy reduction of 334,152 kWh annually:
Carbon Reduction Calculation
Using the global average carbon intensity ($\approx 0.475$ kg CO₂/kWh):
- Total Annual CO2 Reduced: 158.7 Metric Tons
- Equivalent to: * 2,624 tree seedlings grown for 10 years.
- 37.7 gasoline-powered passenger vehicles driven for one year.
- 19.3 homes’ energy use for one year.
Why LED 2.0 Made the Difference
Standard LEDs are efficient, but LED 2.0 is intelligent. The Trimark project succeeded by focusing on:
- Eliminating “Burn Time”: Integrated sensors ensure that high-output lights only draw full power when workers or forklifts are in the zone.1
- Consolidation: We replaced 6,300 low-efficiency tubes with just 525 High-Performance UFO fixtures, reducing maintenance points by over 90%.
- Optimized Output: The new fixtures deliver better “lumens per watt,” meaning more light on the floor for every dollar spent.
“The Trimark project is a prime example of how intelligent sensors turn a simple utility into a managed asset. Saving over 150 tons of CO2 per year is a massive win for their corporate sustainability goals.”
